# HubSpot Integration

> Read and change how OpenCX works with HubSpot: the user the AI acts as, who handed-off conversations are assigned to, reply-all on AI emails, the ticket stage used on close, and the handoff comment.

Read and change how OpenCX works with HubSpot: the user the AI acts as, who handed-off conversations are assigned to, reply-all on AI emails, the ticket stage used on close, and the handoff comment. Connecting HubSpot and changing credentials happen in **Settings → Ticketing**; the access token is never returned.

## Key Concepts

* **Not connected** — reads answer `200` with `connected: false`; updates answer `404`
* **Partial updates** — omitted fields keep their value
* **Handoff assignment** — `handoff_user_id` is required with `assign_to_user` and cleared for the other types
* **AI user** — changing `default_user_id` moves the conversations the AI owns to the new user
