# Intercom Integration

> Read and change how the AI works in Intercom: the admin it acts as, where handed-off conversations go, full conversation sync, attachment forwarding, and snooze sync.

Read and change how the AI works in Intercom: the admin it acts as, where handed-off conversations go, whether every conversation is mirrored into OpenCX, whether unsupported attachments are passed on, and which custom status follows the Intercom snoozed state. Connecting Intercom happens in **Settings → Integrations**; the access token is never returned.

## Key Concepts

* **Not connected** — reads answer `200` with `connected: false`; updates answer `404`
* **Partial updates** — omitted fields keep their value; an empty string clears the handoff admin or team
* **Snooze sync** — `snooze_sub_status_id` must be a custom status of your organization, else `400`; `null` turns it off
