# Twilio Flex Integration

> Read and change how the AI works in Twilio Flex: the AI queue, worker email, handoff routing, internal notes, and contact-synced attributes.

Read and change how the AI works in Twilio Flex: the AI queue, the email given to AI workers, how handoffs are routed, whether the handoff summary is posted into the conversation, and which task attributes are copied onto contacts. Connecting Flex, changing credentials, and managing AI workers happen in **Settings → Integrations**; the auth token is never returned.

## Key Concepts

* **Not connected** — reads answer `200` with `connected: false`; updates answer `404`
* **Partial updates** — omitted fields keep their value; updates never re-provision the workspace
* **Internal notes** — Twilio has no private notes, so a posted handoff summary is visible to the customer
* **Synced attributes** — the update response lists names that will never match, as `unusable_contact_sync_attributes`
