# List folders

> List knowledge base folders — List the folders of a synced Confluence source (spaces, folders and pages with child pages) with item counts and each folder's AI setting.

Use the folder `id` with [List items](https://docs.open.cx/api-reference/knowledge-base-items/list.md) (`folder`) or [Switch a folder on or off](https://docs.open.cx/api-reference/knowledge-base-items/set_folder_visibility.md). The Confluence source itself is the folder with `id` `root`.
