# Retranslate a macro

> Translate one org-wide macro again into the listed languages, or into every chosen language when none are listed. Failed translations are retried.

Omit `languages` to redo every chosen language, failed ones included, or list the languages to redo. Send `{}` to redo every chosen language, or `{ "languages": ["fr"] }` for some. The call returns `202` with `queued_languages`, the languages now waiting; check progress with [Get macro translations](./translations).

It fails with `400` when no translation languages are chosen (see [Update macro settings](./update-settings)), when a listed language is not one of the chosen ones, or when the macro has no translation in a listed language, which is the case for the language the macro is written in.
