Set up the sync

Open Data Sources

Add an Intercom source

Click Add source → Intercom.

Access tokendG9rOjVj…Intercom Developer Hub → your app → Access Token. Needs permission to read segments. Can be the same token as the ticketing integration.
Start date2024-01-01T00:00:00ZISO 8601 format YYYY-MM-DDTHH:mm:ssZ. Earliest creation date to include. Defaults to 2020-01-01T00:00:00Z if omitted in the API, but the UI asks for a value.

Start the sync

Click Connect. Segments typically sync in seconds to minutes — most workspaces have tens, not thousands, of segments.

Verify in AI Instructions

Open AI Training → AI Instructions. Items appear under Intercom. If the folder is empty, see Troubleshooting.
